Alliance Tech Helps to Sponsor Ben & I Play for Peace 2013
AUSTIN, TEXAS (April, 20, 2013)- Alliance Tech, an Austin, TX-based event technology provider focused on marketing metrics for tradeshows, conferences and events was one of six sponsors for the Ben & I Play for Peace concert benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project and Wheelchairs For Iraqi Kids.
Ben & I Play for Peace is an annual National Concert event that encourages musicians to come together and use their talents to help others and honors those in the community who devote their lives and services to our country. The project started in 2011 by Ben Werdegar (a 15 year old guitar prodigy from San Francisco, California) and Dr. Kim Perlak (a guitarist and college professor at Concordia University at Austin).
The concert has been in production for the past three years in Austin, Denver, Sarasota, and Seattle and has helped raised $23,772.00 for the Wounded Warrior Project and the Wheelchairs For Iraqi Kids. These organizations help injured children and children with disabilities in Iraq and surrounding regions by providing high quality pediatric wheelchairs. This year’s musicians included a group of guitar players complete with military veterans and students; Kirby Kelley, who was named the “2009-10 King of Blue’s”; and the St. David’s Children’s Choir.
“We are honored to have been able to donate to such an outstanding cause for two years in a row,” says Art Borrego, President of Alliance Tech. “It’s great to see such talented people of our community come together and put on such a wonderful performance. We want to show our support and appreciation for all of the men and women who serve our country.”
