Alliance Tech Awarded a Multi-Year
Contract with SAS Users Group International
Austin, Texas,
July 2005
Alliance Tech recently won a three year contract for SAS Users Group
International (SUGI), making it the second multi-year contract they
have been awarded this month.
SUGI is a non-profit organization that is open to all SAS software
users worldwide. The primary goal of the SUGI event is to provide
a means for attendees to network and exchange ideas with other users
and SAS staff from around the world. It also provides invaluable education
and professional development opportunities.
“One of the challenges that SUGI faced was communicating real-time
with their 3,000 attendees onsite,” said Art Borrego, CEO of
Alliance Tech. “They needed a way to inform attendees about
what was happening at any given time at the conference, and also make
attendees aware of any onsite changes to the agenda.”
Alliance Tech met this challenge by providing SUGI with forty (40)
interactive kiosks and four (4) 50” plasma screen message boards
placed strategically in high-traffic areas at the event. The conference
messaging kiosks made it possible for attendees to access session
and exhibitor information, view interactive floor maps, and create
a personal agenda. The message boards displayed daily event information
and highlights, as well as any changes to the agenda.
In addition to providing easy access to conference information,
the kiosks enabled attendees to network and set-up meetings with other
attendees online. Tools such as Attendee Finder, Event Email, and
Personal Scheduler streamlined the networking process.
“We are so glad to have the opportunity to provide these kinds
of solutions to SUGI next year and in the years to come.” says
Art, “ We will continue to modify and update our tools in order
to customize a solution for SUGI that meets their changing needs.”
