ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

Alliance Tech is committed to minimizing and continually improve the impact of its activities on the environment. As a company, our products help event managers reduce waste by eliminating paper survey, agenda pamphlets and registration forms and by providing electronic data capture and retrieval.

The key points of our strategy to maintain and manage good custodial processes for the environment include:

  • Minimizing waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.
  • Continually improve by adopting an environmental responsibility culture within our organization.
  • Deliver Environmentally Responsible Services and Products
  • Packing and shipping product to our clients in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Actively promoting recycling both internally and among our customers and suppliers.
  • Promote energy conservation by reducing paper consumption and powering down equipment while not in use.
  • Sourcing and promoting a product range that will minimize the environmental impact of both production and distribution.
  • Meeting or exceeding all the environmental legislation that relates to Alliance Tech.

The same approach and commitment we foster towards the environment we cascade these goals to our direct vendors and suppliers.  We are determined to continually promote and ensure our vendors develop a management system that is in alignment with our guidelines and requirements.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Forces or Involuntary Labor – Alliance Tech will not use forced or involuntary labor of any type (e.g. forced, bonded, indentured or involuntary prison labor); employment is voluntary.

Child Labor – Alliance Tech will not use child labor.  The term “child” refers to any person employed under the age of 15 (or 14 where the law of the country permits), or under the age of completing compulsory education, or under the minimum age for employment in the country, whichever is greatest.  We support the use of legitimate workplace apprenticeship programs which comply with all laws and regulations applicable to such apprenticeship programs.

Wages and Benefits – Alliance Tech will, at a minimum, comply with all applicable wage and hour laws and regulations, including those relating to minimum wages, overtime hours, piece rates and other elements of compensation, and provide legally mandated benefits.

Working Hours – Alliance Tech will not exceed prevailing local work hours and will appropriately compensate overtime.    Alliance Tech will not require its employees to work more than 60 hours per week, including overtime, except in extraordinary business circumstances with their consent.  In countries where the maximum work week is less, that standard shall apply.  Supplier’s employees should be allowed at least one day off per seven-day week.

Non-Discrimination - Alliance Tech will not discriminate in hiring and employment practices on grounds of race, religion, age, nationality, social or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, marital status, pregnancy, political affiliation, or disability.

Respect and Dignity – Alliance Tech will treat all their employee with respect and will not use corporal punishment, threats of violence or other forms of physical coercion or harassment.

Freedom of Association – Alliance Tech shall respect the legal rights of employees to join or to refrain from joining worker organizations including trade unions.  Alliance Tech has the right to establish favorable employment conditions and to maintain effective employee communications programs as a means of promoting positive employee relations that make employees view third-party representation as unnecessary.

Health and Safety – Alliance Tech will provide employees with a safe and healthy workplace in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.  Consistent with these obligations, Alliance Tech must have and implement effective programs that encompass life-safety, incident investigations, chemical safety, ergonomics, etc., and provide the same standard of health and safety in any housing that is provided for employees.  Alliance Tech should strive to implement management systems to meet these requirements.

Protection of the Environment – Alliance Tech will operate in a manner that is protective of the environment.  At a minimum, Alliance Tech must comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations and standards, such as requirements regarding chemical and waste management and disposal, recycling, industrial wastewater treatment and discharge, air emissions controls, environmental permits and environmental reporting.  Alliance Tech must also comply with any additional environmental requirements specific to the products or services Alliance Tech is providing, called in for design specifications and contract documents.  Alliance Tech should strive to implement management systems to meet these requirements.

Laws, Including Regulations and Other Legal Requirements – Alliance Tech will comply with all applicable laws and regulations in all locations where Alliance Tech conducts business.

Ethical Dealings – Alliance Tech will observe the highest ethical principles in performing work as a supplier.  Alliance Tech will be familiar and will strictly comply with all laws and regulations on bribery, corruption, and prohibited business practices.  Alliance Tech and Alliance Tech’s subsidiaries and affiliates have not and will not offer, promise or make or agree to make any payments or gifts (of money or anything of value) directly or indirectly to anyone for the purposes of influencing, or inducing anyone to influence decisions of any other company, or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates.

Communication – Alliance Tech must make this policy and other relevant information available to employees in the native language of the employees and supervisors.

Monitoring/Record Keeping – Alliance Tech must maintain documentation necessary to demonstrate compliance with this policy and will provide documentation upon request.

Alliance Tech’s Suppliers and Agents – Alliance Tech must contractually obligate all of its direct and indirect supplies and agents in every level of the supply chain engaged in the production of goods and services to comply fully with these principles.  Alliance Tech agrees that this includes suppliers and agents Alliance Tech directly hires (Direct Suppliers), all Direct Supplier’s suppliers and agents (Indirect Suppliers), and all suppliers and agents of Indirect Suppliers (Lower Tier Suppliers) that are used in connection with Alliance Tech’s production of goods and services.  Alliance Tech agrees that failure of any of Alliance Tech Suppliers, Indirect Suppliers, or Lower Tier Suppliers to comply with these principles will also be deemed a failure of Alliance Tech to comply.
